As Chief Risk Officer on the Board of Managing Directors, Anastasios Agathagelidis is responsible for Risk Management and Risk Controlling.
In my view, understanding and proactively managing all different types of risk and their overall impact is a key factor in ensuring LBBW’s stability and lasting success.
Having studied Economics in Hohenheim, in 1993 Anastasios Agathagelidis embarked on a traineeship at SüdwestLB, a predecessor institution of LBBW. The Esslingen (Baden-Württemberg) native held various positions, including in international and corporate business, before becoming Head of Risk Management for Large Corporates and Financial Institutions in 2012. He was promoted to the ranks of the Board of Managing Directors in January 2021.
