As planned, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) pays back one billion Euro of silent partner contributions to its owners. Today the corresponding contracts were signed by the owners - the State of Baden-Württemberg, the Savings Banks Association of Baden-Württemberg (SVBW) and the City of Stuttgart - and by the Bank. The payment is being made at the beginning of April on the basis of the annual financial statements 2013. The necessary approval of the German Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) has been obtained.
This repayment does not have any impact on the Bank's common equity Tier 1 capital ratio under Basel III (fully loaded), which stood at 12.6 percent at the end of 2013 according to the preliminary figures.
