€ 460 million financing for two wind farms in North Rhine-Westphalia
With this transaction, LBBW once again underscores its strong role in financing renewable energy. With approximately €460 million, the bank is financing the construction of two wind farms in the Bad Berleburg region (North Rhine-Westphalia). The projects, developed by the experienced WestfalenWIND Group, represent an important contribution to sustainable energy supply in Germany.
Large-scale project with innovative technology
The two sites, Berleburg-Erndtebrück and Berleburg Ost, have a combined capacity of 212.4 MW and, once completed by 2027, will feed around 497,000 MWh of clean energy into the grid each year. Together, the projects are expected to supply approximately 142,000 households with green electricity, further advancing the environmental goals of the energy transition.
