On 1 August 2018, Jimena Kreusler took over management of the German Centre Mexico, a member of LBBW group. The German Centre has been assisting German companies with offices and services since 2001. It also offers direct access to various networks and gives practical support to those companies entering the Mexican market. Jimena Kreusler is the successor to Susanna Hess-Kalcher, who is pursuing new career opportunities after eleven years.
The German-Mexican has been working at the German Centre Mexico since July 2008 – most recently as head of the Business Development department. Her many years in Mexico means that not only is she very familiar with the work of the German Centre, but also has numerous contacts with companies, institutions, and authorities locally as well as extensive understanding of economic, legal, and cultural requirements in Central America. As part of her studies in political science at the University of Hamburg, she studied Latin American studies.
German Centre Mexico provides a lot of start-up support
The German Centre Mexico has been supporting German companies in developing and expanding their presence in Mexico. In addition, the country is a good starting point for business activities throughout the region due to the many bilateral agreements. The German Centre provides its tenants with offices and conference facilities in various sizes in addition to advisory, logistics, and other services. The German Centre works closely with LBBW and its global network in this respect. Crucially, the German Centre enables the direct sharing of information and access to various networks. This makes it easier for newcomers to acclimatize more easily to local business conditions.
Since its establishment in 2001, around 300 companies have used the German Centre in Mexico City as a launching pad for their activities in Mexico and the region. Around 140 companies are currently tenants. In addition to the German Centre in Mexico City, LBBW also operates German Centres in Singapore and Beijing.
