LBBW is ranked second among the world's leading banks for export finance, according to London-based trade information service Trade & Export Finance (TXF). The results of the TXF Export Finance Research Report 2023 are putting LBBW among the best export finance banks worldwide for the fifth time.

Key categories in which LBBW scored particularly well were customer service, industry expertise, understanding of customers' business and speed in processing transactions.

Global Capital – one of the foremost information sources on the capital markets – has been presenting its Covered Bond Awards for 13 years now to single out select issuers, banks and individual transactions.

“The Covered Bond Report” named LBBW the best bank in the euro bond sector for the third time, as in 2018 and 2020. LBBW was again named Best Euro Lead for Covered Bonds as part of the Awards for Excellence.

Global Capital – one of the foremost information sources on the capital markets – has been presenting its Covered Bond Awards for 12 years now to single out select issuers, banks and individual transactions. LBBW was again recognized as the Best Euro Lead Manager and retained its frontrunner position in the euro market for covered bonds. In a broad survey among participating market players, the LBBW team outperformed four other nominated banks.

This was the first year that analyst firm Morgen & Morgen, Bankmagazin and Versicherungsmagazin (magazines for banking and insurance professionals) presented the Sustainable Award in Finance, singling out investment products, savings and finance products, and insurance products in the three categories of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG). LBBW impressed the jury of experts with its “LBBW step-up sustainability bond” finance product in the Environment (E) category. It was also the only bond to receive an award.

Scope Award 2023 and 2022: Best Certificate Issuer ESG

At the end of 2022, LBBW was named "Best Certificate Issuer ESG" for the second time in a row. The Scope rating agency considers LBBW's range of certificates with sustainability features to be one of the most comprehensive in the entire industry. The transparency with regard to the sustainability criteria taken into account was also praised. At the end of 2021, the rating agency had presented the ESG Award for the first time. In the case of the winner LBBW, Scope particularly highlighted the innovative strength in the area of sustainability. For example, LBBW was the first issuer to enable private customers to invest in impact products on the German certificate market with green bonds.

Best Certificate Provider ESG

In October 2022, Feingold Research awarded the German Certificate Prize for the first time. LBBW was named "Best ESG Certificate Provider". She impressed with her many years of commitment as well as her broad product range. Both the market for self-decision makers and the consulting business were taken into account in the valuation.
