Changes in management at LBBW Research

Dr Thomas Meißner new head of Strategy Research – Alexandra Schadow takes over Cross-Asset Research

Dr Thomas Meißner took on the management of the Strategy Research department. This department analyzes the interest, currency, credit, equity and commodities markets for LBBW's institutional, savings bank and corporate customers. The economics graduate joined LBBW in May 2015 and was previously in charge of the Cross-Asset Research department. Prior to this, he was head of Bond Market Analysis at DZ Bank. Meißner studied in Trier and the USA before earning his doctorate at Martin Luther University in Halle.

Meißner's previous job has been taken on by Alexandra Schadow, who had previously managed LBBW's research on international financial institutions in the asset classes of equities, senior unsecured and covered bonds as well as supranationals, sub-sovereigns and agencies. After completing her training as a banker at a predecessor of LBBW, she studied economics in Hohenheim before training as an accountant in the USA. "With Ms Schadow and Mr Meißner, we have gained two proven experts with many years of experience for these important roles," says chief economist and head of the Research division Uwe Burkert.

LBBW Research grouped its equity and credit research back in 2015 into the department Cross-Asset Research with uniform industry teams. This enabled LBBW to develop indepth industry expertise for its different customer groups.

Around 25 analysts are in this department analyzing corporates, financials, supranationals, sub-sovereigns and agencies. Another roughly 30 analysts work at LBBW in topdown analysis, i.e. on macro and strategy topics.
