Karl-Manfred Lochner appointed to LBBW’s Board of Managing Directors

The Supervisory Board of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) appointed Mr. Karl-Manfred Lochner to LBBW’s Board of Managing Directors at its meeting today. Aged 49 years, Lochner will succeed Joachim E. Schielke who is retiring at the end of this September and is responsible for corporate client business. Lochner will be joining LBBW’s Board of Managing Directors on July 1, 2012 at the latest. As previously announced, Hans-Jörg Vetter, the Chairman of LBBW’s Board of Managing Directors, will take additional charge of corporate client business pending this.

Karl-Manfred Lochner has been Senior Director Multinational Corporates at Unicredit Bank AG, Munich, since 2008. An acknowledged expert in corporate client business, he started his career at Sparkasse Tirschenreuth, after which he held various positions at Bayerische Hypotheken- und Wechselbank AG, which later became HypoVereinsbank (HVB). In 2000, he was appointed to head corporate and small businesses at the Erlangen-Bamberg branch.This was followed in 2004 by a promotion to head corporate client business at the Nuremberg branch. In 2005, he assumed additional responsibility for national and international corporate clients - predominantly large SMEs - in the Northern Bavarian region, before moving on to Munich in 2008.
