Member of the Board of Managing Directors and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) Volker Wirth is responsible for risk management, compliance with all legal regulations and internal auditing.
An integral part of our business policy involves maintaining a responsible overview of risks and acting in the interests of sustainable corporate governance.
As a qualified German public accountant, Volker Wirth has an unrivaled knowledge of analyzing and controlling risk. After graduating with a degree in business administration, Mr Wirth passed his association auditor exam and started working for the auditing department of Badischer Sparkassen- und Giroverband in 1979, where he progressed right up to the role of Head of Department. In 1991, he took on the role of Managing Director for Odenwald Treuhand GmbH in Mosbach. In 1999, he returned to the savings bank association as Head of the Auditing Department. Two years later, Mr Wirth became a member of the Board of Managing Directors of Sparkasse Singen-Radolfzell. He was appointed Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors in 2002. In 2013 he joined LBBW, where he was appointed to the Board of Managing Directors at the start of 2014.
