Member of LBBW's Board of Managing Directors Thorsten Schönenberger is responsible for all matters relating to real estate and infrastructure and transport finance.
When it comes to real estate acquisition and development and large-scale project finance, customers need a financially sound, competent bank with regional roots and an international presence like LBBW.
Thorsten Schönenberger joined LBBW in 2011 as Division Head for Real Estate, over a period of six years led the growth of LBBW’s global commercial real estate financing business, and built it into a leading real estate lending platform and a significant contributor to LBBW revenues. In 2017, he was appointed as a member of the Board of Managing Directors with responsibility for real estate, infrastructure and transportation finance as well as group purchasing, supply and security. Mr Schönenberger, who completed a banking apprenticeship and a degree in business studies, previously held a number of positions at other banks. In 2008, he held the position of Head of International Real Estate Financing for Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen. Prior to this Mr Schönenberger worked at HSH Nordbank where one of his roles was a Credit Analyst working in Hamburg, San Francisco and New York.
