The renowned expert in banking technology and transformation processes is a highly qualified economist and holds a Master of Business and Engineering. Prior to holding several positions with Deutsche Bank Group, he worked as a research associate at the Institute of Public Finance at Darmstadt University of Technology. He was appointed Chief of Staff of the Global Technology & Services division in 2000, Head of DB’s Corporate IT Office and became Global Head of IT Management for the Private & Business Clients division in 2003. From 2004 to 2008, Dr. Setzer was took additional responsibility for Operations Management (payments and securities settlement) for Deutsche Bank's Private and Business Client division. Since 2009, Dr. Setzer holds the position as Head of Private & Business Clients IT Transformation and Head of Postbank IT Integration into the Deutsche Bank Group.
